Public transit is easy to use, flexible, inexpensive and fast — your employees can actually get to work faster by bus than by car through access to the region's many High Occupancy Vehicle lanes. Generally, employees who live within 10 miles of the worksite are the best candidates. However, employees who live much farther away are also good prospects, especially if they live near express or regional routes which provide faster and more direct service to major employment centers.

Transit Services
Other public transit services are also available to employees and commuters that reside outside of the METRO service area. These services are provided by Brazos Transit System, the City of Galveston Island Transit, Colorado Valley Transit and the Gulf Coast Center "Connect Transportation."
