Employees who leave their cars at home also want to leave their worries
at home. Often, employees worry about lack of transportation if they
become ill, have a family emergency or need to work late. Commute
Solutions says
"Not to worry." By providing a Guaranteed Ride Home Program,
you'll be giving your employees the peace of mind to commute by carpool,
vanpool or bus. Commute Solutions offers a variety of ways for employees
to get home by taxi, rental car, company car or other means.
Take the
worry out of commuting with the Guaranteed Ride Home Program.
- In the event of an emergency, call METRO's RideShare
Department, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday at 713-224-RIDE
(7433) or toll free at 1-888-606-RIDE (7433).
A METRO RideShare Representative will ask the nature of the emergency
and will contact the taxi company or the car rental agency to arrange
transportation.
- A taxi will pick you up at your workplace, or a rental
vehicle will be delivered to provide you with transportation to your
destination. The RideShare Customer Service Representative will give
you the name of the taxi company and the taxi vehicle number or the
name of the rental agency.
- You will be required to show a picture ID and verify
your destination with the taxi driver before your trip will be executed.
At the end of your trip, you are required to verify the fare, and sign
and date the voucher indicating you used the service. Tips or gratuities
are optional and must be paid by you. If a rental vehicle is provided,
the rental agency will require you to sign an agreement upon delivery.
- In the case of unscheduled overtime for METROVan riders,
please contact a RideShare Representative prior to 3:30 p.m. to make
arrangements for a car to be delivered.
The RideShare Department will help you enroll Monday through Friday, 8
a.m. to 5 p.m.
